Eichardt’s Bar crowned Asia & Pacific’s Best Hotel Bar

Highlighting exceptional bars from all around the world each year, Queenstown’s famed Eichardt’s Hotel Bar has been crowned among the top Hotel Bars in the world in this year’s Tales of the Cocktail Spirited Regional Awards.

The awards are chosen by regional chairs and members of the Tales of the Cocktail Foundation, a non-profit that educates, advances and supports the hospitality industry.

Releasing the results of its esteemed global search to find the world’s finest cocktail establishments, Eichardt’s Bar was the only Kiwi winner in its category.

General Manager of Food and Beverage James Worthington says this is extremely satisfying for the bolthole bar, which has also been lauded as one of Tatler Magazine’s Forever Fabulous bars of the world.

“Every element of the Eichardt’s experience is carefully considered and acknowledgement that our exacting standards continue to come up trumps is a testament to our hard-working team.”

Nestled amongst spectacular alpine surrounds on Queenstown’s lakefront, Eichardt’s Private Hotel has long been known for its world-class, luxury accommodation and inspired food and drink offering.

Eichardt’s Bar epitomises old-world luxury, offering rustic ambience and a bespoke local food experience, satisfying the senses of the most discerning hotel guests and locals alike. A roaring fireplace and gracious service create a welcoming environment for sampling the award-winning wine list, specialty cocktails and insatiable culinary creations, curated by both the collection’s renowned Head Chef, Will Eaglesfield and accomplished mixologist, Shaun White.

Owned by Christchurch-born businessman Andrew Cox, Eichardt’s Bar rounds out an impressive portfolio of first-class accommodation and restaurants, including Eichardt’s Private Hotel, The Spire Hotel, The Grille, No5 Church Lane and the collections latest acquisition – Pacific Jemm, Lake Wakatipu’s first, premium nautical offering.
