Fable opening brings elevated luxury to Christchurch

Fable Christchurch, formally Rendezvous Hotel Christchurch, has officially opened its doors, signaling a new era of 5-star luxury accommodation in the Garden City.

The 171-room hotel is a welcome addition to the boutique Fable Hotels & Resorts brand, nestled amongst some of Christchurch’s finest shopping, dining and recreational attractions, adding to the city’s appeal for both local, and eventually international, visitors.

The recent acquisition will breathe new life into the property, as a full refurbishment commences immediately that will transform the hotel into the luxury standard Fable is renowned for, and is expected to be completed by May 2022.

Each Fable property has its own unique character, with curated experiences offering the best of contemporary world-class hospitality, combined with artful details and twists of local wisdom and flavour.

CPG Group Operations Manager, Ronnie Ronalde, says the team is delighted to be welcoming guests to the newest Fable property and looks forward to seeing guests discover what makes Fable so unique.

“It’s wonderful to be introducing the Fable experience to yet another location in the South Island, and we know guests will instantly feel the elevated sense of luxury, exceptional service, iconic dining and design-lead environment as we roll out our transformation of this property over the next few months.”

Dining is anticipated to play a central role for both guests and visitors, with a new all-day dining restaurant in the works lead by award-winning Group Executive Chef Jinu Abraham, along with an upmarket Gin Bar featuring a range of artisanal cocktails designed to enhance the menu offering.

Faisal Sayed, General Manager at Fable Christchurch, has extensive experience in hotel management both in New Zealand and Australia, and is excited to lead his team through the transition into a 5-star Fable property.
