Restaurant heavyweights from around the country, VIP guests, influencers, and celebrities gathered in anticipation to meet one of the world’s most famous and innovative chefs, Heston Blumenthal.
Guests were whisked away to Kauri Bay Boomrock for a full sensory experience like no other. The exclusive venue is found in Clevedon and boasts stunning vistas of Waiheke, Ponui, Coromandel and beyond.
From the misty mornings to the soft crackle of the fire, Heston couldn’t help but comment on the beauty of New Zealand, even while working. Here to promote Everdure by Heston Blumenthal, guests were invited to see the range up close, meet Heston himself and sample some delicious food prepared by The Fat Duck Group.
“It was an honour to come to New Zealand and explain my philosophy behind the range. It was inspired by the evolution of cooking and the importance of valuing each ingredient, each dish, each piece of coal. I do believe it is something that we have lost and the Everdure range was designed to bring love and enjoyment back to the art of cooking and eating,” says Heston.

Heston and his team from The Fat Duck Group served up a one-of-a-kind menu for the 100 guests on the Everdure by Heston Blumenthal barbecues. With finesse, they effortlessly showcased the limitlessness of the cuisine served using the range. The menu featured locally sourced Ora King hot smoked salmon, BBQ brisket, roast lamb saddle, and pineapple upside down cake all cooked on the barbecues.
