Abstract Hotel, has achieved a 4.5 Star Rating from Qualmark, New Zealand tourism’s official quality assurance organisation.
Templeton Group, led by Nigel McKenna, opened Abstract Hotel in February last year, knowing that the hotel’s location, in the heart of Auckland’s night-time entertainment precinct with superb transport access, coupled with its commitment to comfort and affordability, would underpin its long-term success.
But what immediately impressed guests and reviewers alike were its detailed aesthetic and the quality of its amenities – the Wintergarden, the Library Lounge, the Gallery, the Terrace Bar. Alla Prossima Restaurant and Sa-Ni Massage and Spa – both already award winners, offer services at a level normally found only in far more expensive hotels.
Now Abstract’s 4.5 Star Qualmark Rating has set a seal on that success.
Why Abstract’s Qualmark Rating Matters
Says McKenna: “Achieving a 4.5 Qualmark Rating matters because it says that Abstract Hotel is not only attentively designed, amenity-rich and superbly located, but that, underpinning those attractive qualities, are what every guest wants: comprehensive systems and processes. Implemented by Capstone Management, these ensure all appropriate standards are being adhered to, that sustainability hasn’t been compromised and that all their expectations will be fully met, every time.”
How Qualmark Ratings are Awarded
Qualmark is owned by Tourism New Zealand and backed by leading industry organisations. It provides a grading system for accommodation providers and a quality assurance programme for visitor activities, service and transport providers, as an official mark of quality.
Qualmark is a certification that highlights tourism providers who are delivering a quality sustainable experience, who have undergone an independent safety check and showcase true New Zealand hospitality. Guests can book with confidence knowing they’ll find a warm welcome from a business that operates in an ethical, professional and environmentally friendly way, protecting what makes New Zealand unique.
