With Air New Zealand confirmed as the first trans-Tasman airline to operate flights to the brand-new Western Sydney International (WSI) Airport, opening in 2026, a new chapter in connectivity between New Zealand and Western Sydney is set to begin.
Pullman Sydney Penrith, the region’s first five-star hotel, is situated just 21 minutes from the new WSI airport to welcome Kiwi travellers seeking a premium hospitality experience.
Opened in August 2023 as part of a $110m AUD development, Pullman Sydney Penrith features 152 smart-tech-enabled rooms, a bespoke Sleep Therapy Menu, and a high-performance fitness centre. The hotel offers modern European dining at Marcel Bar and Bistro, alongside the refined bar, Tori.

With direct access to the 1,000-seat Western Sydney Convention Centre and just a short drive to the Blue Mountains, Sydney CBD, and more, Pullman Sydney Penrith offers a relaxed and inviting alternative to city-centre stays for travellers arriving via WSI. Until the new airport and route launch, the hotel is a 45-minute drive from Sydney Kingsford Smith Airport.
Sophisticated Food & Dining
Dining is a central part of the experience at Pullman Sydney Penrith. Marcel Bar and Bistro, located on the hotel’s first floor, is a modern European restaurant with a striking Bauhaus-inspired design.
The kitchen is led by Executive Chef John Giovanni Pugliano, whose global experience includes Nobu London. He brings a focus on seasonal, ethically sourced ingredients from nearby farms in the Hawkesbury region. Tori, on the ground floor, is a contemporary take on a traditional lobby bar, offering all-day light bites, brews from local coffee bean roasters and pastries for breakfast.

The name for both venues pays homage to the late Marcel Breuer, a renowned architect whose only Australian building is heritage-listed and located in Penrith. Breuer collaborated with his former chief assistant and Australia’s foremost architect, Harry Seidler on the Torin factory building, which opened in 1976. The pair also worked together on the design for the Australian Embassy in Paris which opened the following year.
Bold New Chapter For Western Sydney
Together, Pullman Sydney Penrith, Marcel Bar and Bistro, Tori, and the Western Sydney Convention Centre form more than just a hospitality offering; they represent a bold new chapter for Penrith and Western Sydney.

Pullman Sydney Penrith offers an attentive five-star experience.
