The OneMusic live music per day rate is for events with a ticket price less than $35, and is required regardless of whether performers are playing original music or covers. For all events with an advertised ticket price of $35 or more, a specific event licence is required.
Music creators have exclusive rights to the music they create (as set out in the Copyright Act 1994), and when businesses want to use their music, music creators have the right to be compensated for this use. This is one of the main ways music creators make a living, and enables them to continue making the music that helps your hospitality business hum.
