PappaRich arrives in New Zealand

PappaRich

PappaRich, one of the world’s fastest growing food and beverage brands, has finally reached New Zealand. PappaRich offers a gateway to traditional Malaysian cuisine, serving up the country’s best-known dishes that draw on the authentic flavours of Malaysia’s bustling hawker-style street food culture.

The brand was established in 2005 with the opening of its first restaurant in Malaysia’s capital, Kuala Lumpur. It has since expanded like wildfire across Asia and beyond, and now boasts nineteen outlets in Australia, with plans to open at least four more each year.

The brand is highly regarded for dishing up high quality Malaysian food that manages to be both traditional and accessible. The dishes reflect the cultural melange of Malaysia, with influences from Malay, Chinese and Indian cuisines, but have been slightly adapted to suit local palates. The father of the brand, Mr. Rich Tan, draws recipe inspiration from regions throughout Malaysia, personally travelling across the country to sample its many food offerings. Signature dishes include freshly made Roti Canai; Hainan bread with kaya (coconut jam) and butter; Nasi Lemak; various laksas; an extensive range of noodle and rice dishes; and a variety of traditional desserts.

The focus is on food served fresh and fast, making PappaRich the ideal spot for a quick work lunch or midweek dinner. The restaurant’s interior is designed with a simple and casual aesthetic, without compromising on style – specially designed to offer a comfortable, friendly atmosphere. The open kitchen allows diners the chance to see their Roti Canai being freshly prepared on the spot.

PappaRich has outlets across South East Asia, Middle East, USA, Australia and now New Zealand. Following on from the initial launch in Auckland, the brand plans to roll out a number of franchises across New Zealand and hopes to transform PappaRich into a household name.

PappaRich is located at 291-297 Queen Street, Metro Centre.
