Lemongrass Productions has announced the return of Restaurant Month in the Heart of the City in Auckland next month. rsz_screen_shot_2014-07-09_at_91355_amThe largest dining event on Auckland’s annual calendar is once again packed full of all things foodie. Eat your way around the city with special menus from over 100 central city restaurants and over 20 mouth-watering events.

As a known lover of foodie festivals, we are excited to offer you first option on tickets to Restaurant Month events prior to general public sales. RESTAURANT MONTH LAUNCH PARTY The Launch party kicks off a month of food and celebration in the central city – join to celebrate in fragrant and flavourful festive style upstairs at Shed 10. Join leading Auckland chefs Nic Watt (Masu), Des Harris (Clooney), Nick Honeyman (Lava Dining) and Shane Yardley (FISH) with host Sachie Nomura (Sachie’s Kitchen) and sponsor Asia New Zealand Foundation to taste the influence of Asian culture on Kiwi cuisine over four dishes matched with wine.

WINE AKL There’s something for every wine lover at Wine Auckland, with hundreds of wines from over 60 NZ wineries, food and wine matching sessions with Auckland’s best restaurateurs and sommeliers and talks by international wine experts Nick Stock (AU), Shelley Lindgren (USA), Rebecca Gibb (UK) and our own Master of Wine Bob Campbell. Whether you’re a newcomer to wine or a bonafide aficionado, Auckland’s new flagship wine tasting event will be one to remember.

A TASTE OF MOVIDA Melbournites love MoVida so much there are now four of them (and that’s just in Melbourne).

Each is slightly different, but all of them follow owner and executive chef Frank Comorra’s passion for modern Spanish cuisine and the true Spaniard’s sense of fun. Frank Comorra brings MoVida to Josh Emett’s Ostro in Britomart for one night of fabulous food and flamboyant fun not to be missed. A TASTE OF FEDERAL STREET Experience a New Zealand first as Federal Street’s finest chefs – Al Brown, Sean Connolly, Nic Watt and Peter Gordon – cook together for the very first time, celebrating the newly revamped Federal Street dining precinct. Hosted in Nic Watt’s MASU, Metro Magazine’s 2014 Restaurant of the Year, see each chef present a dish that defines their unique style, background and personality.

TASTE OF CODA When Coda blasted onto the Melbourne food scene in 2009 it became an instant hit thanks to chef Adam D’Sylva’s masterful mix of French and Vietnamese flavours culminating in dishes like spanner crab on betel leaf with galangal, or his much loved roasted yellow duck curry. Adam pairs up with Soul Bar’s head chef and soon-to-be My Kitchen Rules NZ judge Gareth Stewart for a night of fusion feasting. A

TASTE OF SALT Luke Mangan is the original Australian celebrity chef. He’s cooked for royalty and ex-presidents, and has opened restaurants through Australia and Asia including the Salt empire. Luke brings his contemporary Asian inspired cuisine to the sophisticated surrounds of the iconic Ebisu to cook with head chef Murray Wiblin and sushi master Yukio Ozekei for a truly memorable Restaurant Month dining experience.
