Veuve Clicquot brings Après Ski to the city

Can’t make it to the slopes this winter? Veuve Clicquot is bringing a taste of Après Ski chic to the city this winter with the Veuve Clicquot VC3000 pop-up at Britomart’s Seafarers. The futuristic alpine chalet is offering Aucklanders the chance to take part in the French champagne house’s annual winter festival, Clicquot in the Snow from 6 July to 11 August.

The Clicquot Chalet is a nod to the modish ski resorts of France, making it the perfect inner-city hideaway to enjoy a flute of Veuve Clicquot Champagne this winter. Think faux fur throws, contemporary blush pink walls, a warming fireplace, pops of Clicquot yellow and of course, the finest in French cuisine.

“The Clicquot Chalet gives Aucklanders a chance to indulge in the best that winter has to offer, whether it’s a drink with friends before heading out to dinner or a cosy Sunday afternoon treat.” Says Ali Campbell, Veuve Clicquot Senior Brand Manager. “French for ‘after ski’, Après Ski is a relaxing mix of great food, drink and style and that’s exactly what you can expect from the Veuve Clicquot 3000 Chalet.”

Guests will be able to visit the pop-up on level six at Seafarers from 6 July till 11 August between 6pm – 10pm every Thursday to Saturday night. The Clicquot Chalet offers a curated menu with a range of gourmet food options including caviar and salmon roe duo served with handmade crisps, Veuve Clicquot panna cotta and the Madame Reuben sandwich, all paired exclusively with Veuve Clicquot Champagne.

Seafarers has put the cool into this winter chalet hang-out where you can write home about it – literally! The pop-up will offer guests the chance to send their own ‘Clicquot Mail’ with bespoke postcards available to send warm winter greetings to friends and family all over the globe, spreading the alpine festivities far and wide.

Clicquot in the Snow is taking place in Queenstown between 2-5 August with tickets now available to purchase for a variety of Veuve Clicquot events in the picturesque town, including the glamourous Colourama Clicquot Gala and Long Lunch at Rata featuring a 4-course degustation menu designed by respected chef, Josh Emett.
