Young tourism export council’s rising star award

Jessica Taylor, Marketing & Communications Executive at the James Cook Hotel Grand Chancellor, has won the Young Tourism Export Council of New Zealand’s (Young TEC) Rising Star Award. The award recognises the efforts and contribution to the development of New Zealand’s tourism industry by a Young TEC member under the age of 30 years.

Jessica holds a Bachelor of Tourism Management with honours degree from Victoria University of Wellington and has worked at Hotel Grand Chancellor for the past three years, starting at the organisations’ head office before moving over to the James Cook Hotel Grand Chancellor. Reflecting on the award, Jessica is grateful for the opportunities the tourism industry and Hotel Grand Chancellor have provided. “It’s positive to have strong leaders in the industry to aspire to and being a member of Young TEC has presented a range of networking and development opportunities”.
