Entries for the inaugural Estrella Damm Top 50 New Zealand Gastropub Awards are flooding in, but there’s still time to enter.
New Zealand’s gastropub scene is abuzz with excitement as the Estrella Damm Top 50 New Zealand Gastropub Awards get set to spotlight the best food-led pubs across the nation.
Entries for the inaugural competition are already flooding in and gastropubs from around the country are being told to get their entries in for their chance to be heroed in the top 50 list.
The competition aims to spotlight the best food-led pubs across the nation, with gastropubs from all corners invited to participate. Public votes will determine the Top 50 list and a panel of distinguished hospitality judges will then crown seven regional winners and unveil the supreme champion at an awards ceremony in April 2024.
With over a thousand gastropubs nationwide, competition is fierce, each offering something unique. For The Fat Duck in Te Anau, that’s their locally-inspired menu, showcasing the region’s flavours through ingredients like wild Fiordland venison. At the Keg Room in Hamilton, they pride themselves on their warm and friendly environment. It’s a space designed for you to feel at home – and the whole whanau is welcome, even the four-legged family members.
The coveted Top 50 list is poised to become a go-to dining guide for locals and visitors alike, highlighting the best gastropubs in the country and bringing much-deserved recognition to the thriving gastropub scene.
For gastropubs vying to be part of this culinary extravaganza, get in quick. The entry deadline is January 31, 2024. Visit www.Top50gastropubs.co.nz for your chance to be recognised.
