DINEAID is a charitable initiative started over five years ago by a small group of caring New Zealand restaurateurs to give a helping hand to New Zealander’s in need. Since DINEAID was launched five years ago, restaurants and cafes have raised and distributed over $482,000 for our country’s City Missions.
Last year the hospitality industry collectively raised $85,882 for City Mission Food Banks and we are now gearing up to raise $100,000 for our community in 2014.
Thanks to Goodman Fielder – our sponsor who covers all operating costs of our campaign – 100% of all the money raised is redistributed within New Zealand to help Food Banks across the Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch/South Island regions.
Here’s how it all works…
Each year during November and December, we raise money through participating restaurants across New Zealand by adding a voluntary donation of $2 per table to each restaurant bill to be paid by the customer. Just add a $2 donation button to your POS system, run a sales report for the November/December period, and deposit the donation total or send DINEAID a cheque.
If you are a café, we will drop you off a coin collection box to be placed near your till, and some signage to inform your customers of what DINEAID is all about. We will pick it up when the campaign finishes December 31st; you don’t need to do anything at all
There is no outlay at all for you to participate; and this year as an extra amazing incentive, Goodman Fielder will give your restaurant a $100 voucher when you raise $500 from customer’s donations!
DINEAID drives business back to YOUR restaurant. The city Missions in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch will be emailing their combined data base of 20000 companies and supporters encouraging them to support DINEAID restaurants and will include a full list of these restaurants. Our marketing material via newspapers, radio, television and billboards will deliver the same message.
DINEAID also have an increasing number of large companies who support us on our database, who this Christmas will host all of their Christmas dining in DINEAID restaurants. And you will of course, feature on our website.
