La Porchetta celebrates its 30th Birthday

LaPorchetta low-resLa Porchetta is excited to be celebrating 30 years in 2015 with a year of festivities, activities and promotions so everyone can join in.

The first La Porchetta restaurant opened in 1985 when Italian born Rocky Pantaleo and Felice Nania took over a small pizza shop in Melbourne’s Italian hub in Carlton. News spread quickly about their great pizza, pasta and Italian-style menu, along with the great atmosphere and value and a few years later, the second La Porchetta opened.

Today there are more than 70 La Porchetta restaurants across Australia and New Zealand and each is a vibrant part of its local community. Just as the kitchen is the centre of Italian and Australian family life, so every La Porchetta restaurant celebrates that feeling of being at home, with great food made from fresh ingredients, together with warm service and a family heart.

‘As we’ve grown across Australia and New Zealand I feel we’ve become like a large, extended family,’ says La Porchetta CEO Sara Pantaleo. ‘Now we’re entering our fourth decade of business, it’s wonderful to see the children and even grandchildren of our original customers coming to eat at our restaurants. We’re looking forward to welcoming them and their families for many more decades to come.’

La Porchetta’s birthday celebrations kick off with a competition inviting customers to share their most memorable, funny or special occasion over the last 30 years. They can hop online at www.laporchetta.com.au/competition-jan2015 and share their story for a chance to win one of over 50 La Porchetta meal vouchers valued at $30 each.  The competition closes on the 28th February 2015 midnight AEDST.
