Mexicali Fresh lands in Spitfire Square

Mexicali Fresh, the champions of fresh and flavoursome food, had burritos, nachos and quesadillas ready for departure from Thursday the 15th of October at their newest store, located in Spitfire Square, the latest development at Christchurch International Airport.

The latest store showcases Mexicali Fresh’s range of healthy, fresh and delicious California-style Mexican food made in-store each and every day, using locally-sourced ingredients when possible.

“We’re very excited to open our next store at Spitfire Square” says Mexicali Fresh Co-owner Conor Kerlin. “We recently opened our first South Island branch at The Landing at Wigram Skies and the response has been overwhelming, we’re thrilled to be able to grow our presence in the Canterbury community and keep the Mexicali Fresh buzz going!”

With over ten years of local hospitality experience, new franchisee, Richard Murray, is eager to join the fast-growing Mexicali Fresh team. “I noticed Mexicali Fresh many years ago and was instantly impressed by the professional service, delicious food and great family-friendly restaurant environment. I jumped at the chance to open a Christchurch store; I just know Cantabrians will love the experience just like I do.”

Mexicali Fresh Spitfire Square will be the fifteenth branch since Mexicali Fresh’s inception in 2005 and will be fully licensed – complete with frosty margaritas and ice cold beer. Restaurant goers can expect a fast-paced, casual dining experience with an atmosphere full of personality.

“We’ve set up the restaurant to seat 40 people, so there’s plenty of space to sit back and relax with friends and family or simply grab a meal and run.”

“Getting the store ready to open has been a fun and rewarding process so far and now we’re ready for take-off!” adds Murray.
