Vinexpo: Tokyo to host wines and spirits from around the world

rsz_the_shout_enewsletter_-_12_august_-_vinexpo_-_photoThe Japanese capital will be front and centre in the wine and spirits world when the first Vinexpo Nippon exhibition opens its doors.  On 1st and 2nd November 2014 at the Prince Park Tower Hotel in Tokyo, wines and spirits from all over the world will be on display before Japanese trade professionals in one of the most dynamic and sophisticated markets in Asia-Pacific.

The big industry players from Chile, France, New Zealand, Italy, Spain, Australia and South Africa have already reserved stands.  Landmark brands such as Baron Philippe de Rothschild, Joseph Drouhin, Clarence Dillon, Miguel Torres, Angelo Gaja, Antinori, Allegrini, Castello di Ama, Montes and the Californian Kendall-Jackson have all confirmed they will be there.

Bubbles will be represented strongly as Japan is in fact the 5th largest world market for champagne.  Additionally, exhibits of Glenfarclas whisky, Beluga and Polugar vodkas, Martinique’s white and brown rums and Godo Shushei sakes and sojus are an indication of the sheer variety of spirits that will be available for tasting at Vinexpo Nippon.

Vinexpo Nippon will be the first professional exhibition to focus on the Japanese market.  Japan is the second largest wine importer and leading spirits importing nation in Asia.  More than 5,000 visitors are expected and amongst them will be the top Japanese sommeliers many of whom are are members of the Japan Sommelier Association.
