WANTED! Beef+ Lamb Ambassadors to step up to the plate

Beef + Lamb New Zealand are seeking talented chefs to step up to the plate and present their best beef and lamb dishes, in the search for their next Ambassador Chefs.  Applications are open for four chefs to join the Beef + Lamb Hall of Fame and follow in the footsteps of some of New Zealand’s top chefs.

Foodservice Manager, Lisa Moloney, says this is a highly coveted role not only for the elevation it gives to a chef’s career but for the opportunities that can arise to network with famers and industry peers.

“We are looking for chefs who have a passion for showcasing New Zealand produce on their menus and have an appetite to learn more about the beef and lamb industry,” says Lisa.

“These chefs will step up to drive innovation and creativity and help build New Zealand’s food culture using grass-fed New Zealand beef and lamb.”

The current Ambassador Chefs, MacLean Fraser, Cameron Davies, Andrew May and BJ Sebastian will finish their two-year term at the end of 2023.

MacLean Fraser says it was an absolute privilege to be chosen as a Beef + Lamb Ambassador Chef and walk the path of some of Aotearoa’s best chefs.

“I have enjoyed promoting and passing on my knowledge and love of cooking New Zealand beef and lamb, which is arguably the best in the world,” says MacLean.  “Having the opportunity to connect and learn from the wider Beef + Lamb family has been invaluable for my own personal development and something that I will treasure as a highlight of my career.”

Applications are open until midnight on Tuesday 28th November 2023 and chefs can learn more and apply at thechefskitchen.co.nz
