Wellington spa claims top honours in world luxury spa awards

rsz_bodyhaven_spaBodyhaven Spa has won as Best Luxury Boutique Spa in New Zealand in the 2016 World Luxury Spa Awards, announced at the 5-star Grand Hotel Kronenhof Pontresina in Switzerland on the weekend.

The awards are the pinnacle of achievement for luxury spas and are based on votes by spa guests and feedback from a global panel of spa industry professionals. Recipients are recognised for setting benchmarks in quality, innovation and service for spas around the globe. The exclusive black tie event on Saturday 18 June was attended by some of the world’s top hoteliers and leading decision-makers. There were 22 competing spa categories and 38 countries participated from across the globe.

Bodyhaven Spa, located in Wellington’s Amora hotel, is owned by Ana Maria Moore, an internationally renowned spa and wellness consultant with more than 25 years of international experience in the spa industry. “We are truly honoured to receive the award for Best Luxury Boutique Spa in the country as it really puts us on the global stage. It’s recognition to our world-class facilities and service, and is testament to my team’s commitment to delivering an exceptional spa experience for every guest,” says Moore.

Bodyhaven’s premises includes an authentic Moroccan tea room, manicure and pedicure stations, single and double spa suites fitted with therapeutic copper tubs, and a dedicated spa function room. The spa also offers a healthy, light menu that can be enjoyed by guests during their spa experience and showcases the unique flavours of the southern North Island.
