The Auckland Zoo has thrown open its doors for a new coffee supplier, with tender documents currently available through the New Zealand Government Electronic Tenders Service (GETS). “What we are looking for is a partner who will go the extra mile to further the mission of the Zoo,” says Angela Smith, Manager Retail and Commercial, Auckland Zoo. “We currently have Tip Top as our frozen confectionary partner and the Better Drinks Co as our beverage partner, and we work quite closely with them in exchange for an exclusive brand presence across the site.”

She stresses that being an Auckland attraction they feel it is essential that their coffee offering is high quality, “as good coffee is such a big part of our culture. We are looking for a brand that is both recognisable and aligned with the Zoo’s values, and to partner with a brand that has its own personality and its own story to tell.”

The tender closes on June 25, 2015 and elements like product quality and supply and delivery are top of mind along with an alignment with Zoo values. Sustainable practices are also an essential, or the willingness to develop the area in consultation with the Zoo.
