The Supreme Award winner in this year’s New Zealand Tourism Industry Awards will receive a prize valued at up to $10,000, together with the prestige of winning the $24 billion industry’s highest accolade.

“The Supreme Award is being sponsored by Air New Zealand, and we are delighted they are offering such a generous prize,” says Chris Roberts, Chief Executive of the Tourism Industry Association New Zealand (TIA), which runs the awards.

“I am also very pleased to announce Air New Zealand and the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment, two of the industry’s most influential stakeholders, as our Event Partners.”

Mr Roberts says the reinvigorated awards programme will recognise those individuals, businesses and organisations that are helping reach the Tourism 2025 goal of almost doubling annual tourism industry revenue to $41 billion by 2025.

“Air New Zealand is committed to supercharging New Zealand’s success and we are very proud to support these awards which showcase and celebrate excellence across our country’s tourism industry.”

The winner of the Air New Zealand Supreme Tourism Industry Award will receive international air travel to any Air New Zealand destination in North America, South America or Asia valued at up to $10,000 to help them grow their tourism business.
