Not all superheroes wear capes as Domino’s charity fundraiser takes off today

Today, World Pizza Day, more than 900 Domino’s stores across New Zealand and Australia are supporting the company’s third annual Domino’s for Good Day.

Domino’s stores will donate $1 from every pizza* and 10c from every drink** to its new registered charity, Minds & Meals.

Minds & Meals is dedicated to supporting youth mental health through a partnership to support Youthline’s national helpline, which will see the charity contribute $150,000 over three years to support thousands of 12-24-year-olds across New Zealand access vital support.

Additionally, Minds and Meals will support disaster relief by delivering safe, hot meals, alongside much needed financial support, during times of crisis.

Domino’s ANZ CEO, Don Meij said he is proud to be supporting these important causes through the company’s new charity.

“As one of the largest employers of young people, Domino’s recognises the urgent need for youth mental health support in our communities. We are privileged to be in the position to respond quickly in times of major disaster and get safe, hot meals to those who need it most.

“I’m incredibly proud to be supporting both of these important causes through our new registered charity Minds & Meals, which is only made possible through the generosity of our customers who round up their orders and purchase pizza on Domino’s for Good Day.

“This year, we hope to raise more than $300,000 across Australia and New Zealand with the support of everyday heroes who choose to eat Domino’s pizza on 9 February!”

Youthline CEO Shae Ronald said she is excited to work with Domino’s to make a meaningful impact on youth mental health across New Zealand.

“Since 1970, Youthline has been dedicated to providing young people with the resources and support to navigate and overcome mental health challenges, and our partnership with Domino’s is a great reflection of this commitment,” Ms Ronald said.

“Through supporting Domino’s for Good Day, we will all be building a brighter future for our youth by ensuring everyone gets the support they need, when they need it.”

This year, Domino’s is asking pizza lovers across Australia and New Zealand to forget superheroes in capes and be an everyday hero themselves – all by simply purchasing their favourite Domino’s pizza.
