The Sugar Club celebrates two years in style

The Sugar ClubThe Sugar Club will soon celebrate two years at the top of Auckland’s most iconic building with a relaxed cocktail event hosted by Peter Gordon and a sunset performance from renowned New Zealand musician and composer Nathan Haines.

Tickets are $80 for the sunset cocktail affair on Sunday 2 August with Nathan Haines performing live from 5.30pm and include bubbles, Man O’War wines and canapés.

Executive Chef Peter Gordon says since opening in 2013, The Sugar Club has gone from strength to strength, developing a distinctive culinary flair complemented by an extensive wine list featuring New Zealand and Italian wines.

“The fourth incarnation of The Sugar Club has furthered my passion for combining flavours, which started right back in Wellington in 1986 when the first restaurant opened and I began my New Zealand career as a chef, having previously worked in Melbourne and London,” says Peter.

With canapé highlights like seared tuna, paua and venison rendang, this event will be an exquisite exploration into the world of fusion cuisine led by Peter Gordon, often dubbed the ‘Godfather of fusion’.

“It’s been a dream come true to create The Sugar Club in my favourite building in New Zealand, the Sky Tower.  I attribute a huge part of this success to my exceptional team, led by Head Chef Neil Brazier and Manager Philip Stack, along with my teams in the kitchen and front of house.”
