Wellington receptionist to represent New Zealand in Las Vegas



rsz_sita_laukau_and_olivier_lacouaCQ Hotels Wellington receptionist, Sita Laukau has been awarded a trip to Las Vegas to attend the Choice Hotels International Convention in May.

Ms Laukau achieved her award for signing up the most Choice Privileges members in the whole of Australasia.

Choice Privileges is a Global loyalty programme in which customers can earn reward points in exchange for free nights as well as other benefits.

Ms Laukau signed up over 900 people to the loyalty programme in one year – taking first place out of 250 Choice Hotels across New Zealand and Australia.
It’s the Lower Hutt resident’s first trip ever overseas and Ms Laukau is just brimming with excitement. “It is still sinking in, I am completely blown away that I am given this opportunity not just to go overseas but to represent my
country for the first time,” she said. “I have been working at CQ Hotels Wellington for seven years now and have always enjoyed engaging with the customers, particularly from a cultural perspective. I also strive to provide them with the best hotel experience and I know Las Vegas will be a wonderful opportunity for me on both a personal and professional level.”

Ms.Laukau says her long-term goal is become a Hotel Manager and she is hoping to complete a Certificate in Hotel Management at Weltec.
