Pauanui venue for B&B Owners’ Conference

Bed & Breakfast Association New Zealand expects 100 dedicated B&B business owners to attend their three day conference at Puka Park, Pauanui. Scheduled for 23 – 25 May 2019, the conference is believed to be the most comprehensive of its kind in New Zealand for people involved in home hosting, whether they are members of the Association or not.

The Programme will focus on ‘Promoting Quality’ in the bed and breakfast accommodation sector of the tourism industry. This focus on ‘Promoting Quality’ begins with the opening address by the Minister of Tourism, Hon. Kelvin Davis.

International marketing expert, Melissa Forziat, will also present at the conference. Based in Seattle, Melissa knows what it takes to grow small, quality businesses.

“Developing the strength of your brand and exploring options for proving your reputation is key in any business,” says Melissa. “Plus, we will take a look at the psychology of prospective guests to find out what they need to hear to book their stay.”

For over 30 years, the Bed & Breakfast Association conference has drawn attendees from the far North to the deep South of New Zealand.

“Participants come to learn more about best business practice, view the latest products and services available, build their networks, and attend educational sessions conducted by experts in the tourism industry,” says Rayma Jenkins, National President of the Association.

The conference has been supported by Vision Insurance for the past 10 years.

“In an ever changing tourism environment, our chance to support quality-assessed bed and breakfasts has been a key component of our business,” says David Rush, Director, Vision Insurance.

“The opportunity to educate main players in the home-hosted accommodation market, and do so in a relaxed environment, has been invaluable to us.”

Let’s all promote a quality guest experience.
