Hunter’s Wines team up with SKYCITY Breakers

hunter-s-winesHunter’s Wines have become the Official Wine Sponsor to the SKYCITY Breakers for the upcoming 2015/2016 ANBL season. The latest sponsorship deal reinforces Hunter’s on-going support of basketball in New Zealand. Hunter’s have been gold sponsors of New Zealand NBL side the Nelson Giants for many years and are local supporters of Marlborough Basketball.

Hunter’s Wines Managing Director and New Zealand wine icon, Jane Hunter said “We are very pleased to grow our association with basketball in New Zealand from our on-going successful relationship with the Nelson Giants to now include the SKYCITY Breakers. Basketball is a fantastic spectator sport and the Breakers are a great organisation with a successful track record. We’re looking forward to the season kicking off in October.”

Hunter’s Marketing Manager, Jeremy Adsett added “The successful culture and having become one of New Zealand’s most loved and successful sporting teams were key factors for Hunter’s Wines teaming up with the SKYCITY Breakers. The team have a winning formula within the organisation from the head office to the coaching staff and on court team. We are excited to get behind the team and support them in their defence of the ANBL title in the season ahead.”

Dillon Boucher from the SKYCITY Breakers commented “It is fantastic to have Hunters Wines as our official wine sponsor this coming season. We are certainly looking forward to building a fantastic relationship with Jane, Peter, Jeremy and the team.  With their fantastic wines I know they will be a great addition to our corporate area at NSEC games.”

Further to this, Hunter’s Wines also announce a partnership with Basketball New Zealand as their exclusive wine supplier for events across the country. This is another exciting addition to Hunter’s Wines support of basketball in New Zealand. “Basketball New Zealand is proud to partner with Hunter’s Wines as the supplier of quality New Zealand wines for our Alumni events and other functions”, said Ian Potter, Chief Executive of Basketball New Zealand. “The planning and preparation that goes into preparing our high performance teams for the worlds stage is not at all dissimilar to the preparation put into a vintage by the team at Hunter’s Wines”
